I love to work at the intersection of strategy & ops, design thinking, and people development to help leaders sustainably reach their visions for culture-shifting change.
I started my first business in college, flipping foreclosures during the economic recession in 2008. This work experiment afforded me time and resources to start two social impact businesses, while serving as the Executive Director of an award-winning, nonprofit dance company, Funkanometry.
Since then, I have led a variety of projects such as:
founding a first-gen Filipino food company called The Sarap Shop with a history-making stand in the Golden State Warriors Chase Center Arena
fundraising for a nutrition program for malnourished children
producing a private retreat for top women founders and investors in Silicon Valley
designing a Kickstarter-funded connection card game
operationalizing Resolve to Save Lives’ US Covid Response Acceleration Initiative
In parallel, I grew a tech career holding roles at Google in sales, marketing, and people + leadership development. I spent the longest chapter of my tech career at Google Ventures (GV) as a DesignOps Partner. There, I worked with a world-class team to help founders across a portfolio of 300+ high growth startups leverage the power of leadership coaching and design thinking to make better business decisions and operate more effectively — work that can be found in in books such as NY Times Best Seller, SPRINT, and Make Time. After GV, I joined Stripe as their first Head of Design Operations to help establish organizational systems to prepare for global scale.
Currently, I split my time:
Creating food and community experiences with The Sarap Shop
Growing a community of first-gen breadwinners via New Dimes
Leading consulting projects around ecosystem redesign and economic empowerment within the local San Francisco arts + business community and the broader venture capital industry
Relationships, design x business, and fun are my jam. If you're looking to explore ways to work smarter and play harder, let's chat.
